After reading Mcjoan's "Unemployment: where's the freakout?" and it's comments, you realize, lots of people out there are hurting, and some may stay 'hurt'. The last two at least 'recoveries' have been 'jobless', that is, outsourcing, downsizing, overhead cutting have been the norm for the last 20 years or so. And that follows the BS of "independent contractors", that was sweeping the business world in the 80's, I mean, ' independent contractor' office cleaners? It extended into the 'professional' areas as well, I went from being an employee to being an independent contractor, no pension, no benefits, and guess what? effectively, a pay cut!
